parasitic wasps

Gardeners are highlighting a tomato hornworm that has become a living nursery for parasitic wasp eggs. The wasp larvae feed on the caterpillar and kill it before it can damage the tomato plant. The advice circulating is to leave infested hornworms in the garden, since they act as free, insecticide-free pest control and support natural pest management.
