Security firm Trail of Bits analyzed thousands of Codex sessions from its Patch the Planet work and built patching-bugs, a plugin that reproduces a bug on a running build, writes a fix, and proves it works: the original code fails, the patch passes, and reverting brings the bug back. It also includes a regression-hunting component to catch the bug reappearing elsewhere.
