- 1Utah bans seven more books from all public schools▼Utah just banned 7 new books — at once — from all public schools in the state. Here’s what the novels are about.
Utah has removed seven additional novels from all public school libraries and classrooms statewide, in one of the latest mass removals under the state's book-ban law. The Salt Lake Tribune reports on the content of the banned titles, which officials have deemed to contain objectionable material. The move is part of an ongoing wave of school book restrictions in Utah that has drawn criticism from free-speech advocates and librarians.
