University of Chicago physicist Vincenzo Vitelli has been named a 2026 MacArthur Fellow, receiving the so-called 'genius grant' from the MacArthur Foundation. The fellowship recognizes individuals across fields for exceptional creativity and comes with an unrestricted financial award.
