A400M

Germany's armed forces plan to purchase 16 additional Airbus A400M military transport aircraft, according to a Handelsblatt report on defense procurement. The move is part of ongoing efforts to modernize and strengthen the Bundeswehr's air transport capabilities, a topic drawing attention amid broader debates about German rearmament and defense spending.

French military aircraft, including Rafale fighter jets and an A400M transport plane, have been flying over Mayotte as part of the Pégase 26 long-range deployment by the French Air and Space Force. Local media in the French Indian Ocean territory covered the flyover, and observers online are sharing footage and discussing the display of France's military reach in the region.
