Aaron Michlewitz

Massachusetts state Representative Aaron Michlewitz, a key figure on the state's budget-writing committee, has rejected calls for gas tax relief, arguing that suspending the tax would accomplish little for consumers. He described the ongoing push as a 'meaningless war,' suggesting the political battle over temporary fuel tax holidays distracts from more substantive fiscal policy. The remarks draw attention to debates over how best to ease costs for drivers.
