Alligator Alcatraz

Demonstrators are holding weekly vigils outside the Everglades detention center in Florida, nicknamed Alligator Alcatraz, where immigrant detainees are being held. The gatherings have become a regular form of protest against the facility and the immigration enforcement it represents. The site's remote swamp location, surrounded by alligators, has drawn both criticism of conditions and heightened public attention.
