Edinburgh-based Danu Robotics is bringing H.E.R.O., a robot that sorts recyclable materials, to market after six years of development. Founder Amy Ma says she started the company after seeing recycling bins at her former workplace emptied alongside general waste. H.E.R.O. picks out recyclable items from mixed waste, aiming to reduce contamination and improve recycling rates at sorting facilities.
