Antigone

Iowa State University's theatre programme is presenting a production of Sophocles' 'Antigone', which the university highlights as an enduring story of moral courage, conscience and power. The classical Greek tragedy follows Antigone's defiance of a ruler's edict, and the staging is being promoted as resonating with contemporary questions of dissent and authority.

The College of New Jersey's All College Theatre is presenting a new production of Sophocles' classic tragedy 'Antigone', updated with a modern twist. The student theatre company's reimagining of the ancient Greek play has drawn attention on campus, with the student newspaper covering the show and its contemporary approach to the timeless story of civil disobedience and moral duty.
