Beaver Trust

Kent Wildlife Trust has removed the enclosure barrier at Ham Fen Nature Reserve, allowing beavers to roam freely in the wild for the first time. Conservationists, including Beaver Trust, welcomed the move, saying the animals can now act as 'ecosystem engineers' across the wider landscape, helping to restore wetlands, improve water quality and boost biodiversity in the area.
