Bermuda

The Oxford English Dictionary has added a number of words that have long been used in the Caribbean and Bermuda, formally recognising regional vocabulary into the authoritative record of the English language. The update highlights how local speech from these territories has shaped English over time and is being welcomed across the region as validation of Caribbean and Bermudian linguistic identity.
