Briar

The fantasy series Coven Academy has released its first episode, introducing Sasha, a Black woman who initially distrusts the white protagonist Briar before being moved by news of Briar's loss. Viewers are discussing the dynamic between the two leads and the casting, with names like Jordan Leftwich, Nathaniel Logan McIntyre and Shane Dean circulating alongside the vampire and witch themes.

Today is the feast day of Fratemus, traditionally remembered as a Bishop of Auxerre in Burgundy and, by tradition, a martyr. The date is being noted alongside travel content about the Canal Latéral à la Loire in France, where local churches and chapels along the route between Briare, Nevers and Cours-les-Barres are tied to the region's religious history.
