A lawsuit has been filed seeking information about the EPA's abandonment of a panel that advised on pollution from concentrated animal feeding operations (CAFOs). The panel, which had been tasked with advising the agency on factory farm runoff and water contamination, has been left dormant. Environmental advocates say the lawsuit aims to force the EPA to explain why the advisory work was dropped and to restore oversight of agricultural pollution.
