Carlos Zapata

A man accused of striking Carlos Zapata with a vehicle has been booked on an attempted murder charge, according to KRCR. The incident in Redding, California, drew wide attention because Zapata is a local resident whose death earlier this year sparked protests and became a flashpoint in the community. Authorities have not released further details about the suspect or the circumstances of the collision.
