A fully new anime of 'Obochama-kun', Kobayashi Yoshinori's classic gag manga about Gobu Chama, heir to the Gobu zaibatsu, is set to air on TV Asahi in 2027, roughly 35 years after the original ended. Voice actress Chihiro Kamishiro will reprise her role as Chama, and both the original author and the cast have released comments welcoming the revival, 'Obochama-kun REBORN'.
