Common Murres

Pacific Wildlife Care, a rescue organization on California's Central Coast, is being inundated with Common Murres in need of help. The seabirds, which typically come ashore when weakened or disoriented, are arriving in numbers that are straining the group's capacity. The organization is working to care for the influx of birds, and local coverage is drawing attention to the situation and the rescue's needs.
