Copper Mountain

Breck Film, the Breckenridge film organization, is hosting a free screening of a movie that features Copper Mountain. The event gives local residents and visitors a chance to see the film at no cost, tying together two of Summit County's resort communities. Further details about the film, date, and venue were not included in the initial report.

Plans for the Copperwood mine are moving forward near Lake Superior, close to Michigan's Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. The project, which would extract copper in the western Upper Peninsula, continues despite opposition from environmental groups and some residents concerned about risks to nearby waters and the region's old-growth wilderness. Supporters point to potential jobs and investment in the area.
