Cuatro

Spanish broadcaster Cuatro has commissioned a new programme from Risto Mejide, rewarding the success he has achieved and scheduling it straight after Iker Jiménez's Horizonte. The move gives Mejide a prominent slot in the channel's line-up and is being reported by El Mundo as a sign of the network's confidence in the presenter's pulling power.

Mediaset is reshuffling its programming again, expanding the daily slot for 'Horizonte' and moving 'El Chiringuito de Jugones' back to Cuatro. The changes are part of the network's ongoing effort to reposition its channels and audiences. Spanish media outlets are covering the move as another sign of Mediaset adjusting its lineup amid fierce competition for sports talk show viewers.

Mediaset España is preparing 'El Comité', a new current affairs programme for Cuatro's prime time, to be hosted by Risto Mejide. Spanish media are also reporting that the television presenter has a new partner, journalist Bea Márquez, who is in a relationship with a well-known actor. The announcement marks Mejide's return to Cuatro's prime-time lineup.

Spanish network Cuatro is restructuring its Wednesday schedule: Iker Jiménez and Carmen Porter's mystery show Horizonte will be extended until midnight, while Josep Pedrerol's El Chiringuito moves from Energy to Cuatro for a special dedicated to the Champions League. The reshuffle puts Mediaset's football and mystery programming head to head on the same night, drawing attention from Spanish TV watchers.
