An analysis of five years of market data finds oil and Bitcoin do not move together. Between 25 February and 18 March 2026, Brent crude rose 67% while Bitcoin gained only 5%. The only meaningful correlation, a beta of 0.34, occurred between 2020 and 2022 and is attributed to liquidity conditions rather than causation.

Andreas Schleicher, head of the PISA programme at the OECD, says the latest PISA findings are not encouraging: students who use AI chatbots for specific tasks score lower in science on average than those who do not. The remarks are prompting debate in Spanish-language education circles over whether generative AI is changing the equation for learning, and how schools should respond to its growing use in homework.
