- 1Union leader urges school retrofits and exam changes over extreme heat●Retrofit schools and consider moving exams to beat extreme heat, says teaching union leader https://www.theguardian.com/
The leader of Britain's National Education Union, Daniel Kebede, has called for schools to be retrofitted to cope with extreme heat and for exams to be moved out of the hottest periods as climate change makes summer classrooms increasingly uncomfortable. Writing as UK classrooms face rising temperatures, he argues current buildings and exam scheduling are not fit for hotter conditions. The proposals are prompting debate over how the education system should adapt to a warming climate.
