- 1Driver plans extended EV test drive through County Durham hills●Been to an EV dealer in Darlington. Arranged an extended test drive next week as a short one is useless. Going to drive
A motorist in Darlington has booked an extended test drive of an electric car with a local dealer, arguing that a short spin is useless for judging an EV. The planned route takes in Barnard Castle, the high narrow roads of Weardale, the steep climb of Crawleyside at Stanhope, and the return to Darlington via Castleside and the A68, a demanding loop for range and hill performance.
