Detroit Marathon

SS. Peter and Paul (Jesuit) Church in Detroit will hold a Blessing of the Sneakers ahead of the Detroit Marathon, offering runners a moment of prayer and blessing before race day. The event is a small but notable part of the city's pre-marathon activities, blending local religious tradition with one of Detroit's biggest annual sporting events.
