ECMO

WVU Medicine has held its second annual luncheon for patients who survived ECMO treatment, the life-support therapy that oxygenates blood outside the body. The event brings together former ECMO patients and the medical teams who cared for them. It highlights both the growing use of ECMO in critical care and the recovery stories of those who were treated with it.
