Hong Kong Polytechnic University researchers have identified a new cross-domain cyberattack risk targeting electric vehicle charging navigation systems. The attack could allow hackers to manipulate charging navigation, potentially disrupting charging station loads and affecting power grid stability. The university says the findings will help strengthen the secure operation of power systems as EV adoption grows.
