EgyptAir

An EgyptAir pilot has drawn attention after posting a video of an El Al aircraft accompanied by a quote about violence attributed to former Egyptian president Anwar Sadat. The juxtaposition of the Israeli airline's plane with the late leader's words has circulated widely online, drawing comment on aviation, Egyptian-Israeli relations and the political symbolism of the post.

Houthi forces are making slow advances in south-west Yemen, approaching the city of Taiz. Fighters attacked Aden's international airport with a missile and explosive device moments before an EgyptAir flight from Cairo was due to land. The attack on a civilian airport and the southward advance have raised concerns about a widening conflict in Yemen.
