Es-Alert

A storm system known as a dana has triggered orange and yellow weather alerts across the province of Alicante, with forecasts of thunderstorms dumping up to 30 litres of rain per hour. Around ten municipalities, including Santa Pola, Dénia and Xàbia, have suspended classes in schools and institutes as a precaution. Authorities also sent an Es-Alert emergency message to mobile phones across the province warning residents of the intense rainfall risk.
