F-35A

A widely shared claim says more than 80 US warplanes have been destroyed or damaged in the course of Trump's military campaign against Iran, at a cost exceeding $3 billion. The figure includes two F-15E Strike Eagles hit or lost and an F-35A Lightning II stealth fighter damaged. The US Department of Defense has not confirmed these numbers, which circulated without official sourcing, and independent verification of the aircraft losses or the cost estimate is lacking.
