Munich-based secure data exchange provider FTAPI has confirmed a cyberattack carried out by the hacking group The Gentlemen, which managed to break into the platform. FTAPI confirmed the intrusion to the German tech outlet heise online. The service is widely used by companies and public institutions in Germany to transfer sensitive files, raising concerns about what data may have been exposed.
