Fireperf

A new open-source tool called Fireperf has been introduced for testing the performance of firewalls and routers. It lets network engineers measure throughput under load across network security devices. The release is being noted in security circles because benchmarking firewall and router performance has typically required expensive commercial equipment, and a free, open alternative could make such testing far more accessible.
