Flensburg

SG Flensburg-Handewitt, one of Germany's top handball clubs, was badly rattled in its European match against Spanish side BM Granollers, with reports describing how the underdogs shook the Germans to their foundations. The narrow escape has prompted debate among fans about the team's form and defensive stability as it juggles domestic and European commitments this season.

German handball captain Johannes Golla is reportedly leaving MT Melsungen with the intention of returning to SG Flensburg-Handewitt, his former club. Melsungen have confirmed the player's wish to move, while Flensburg have so far commented only cautiously on a possible deal. The transfer would be a notable move in the Bundesliga, bringing the national team captain back to one of northern Germany's traditional clubs.
