Güstrow

The University of Greifswald in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is supporting moor specialists from Güstrow, according to NDR reporting. Separately, Greifswald and Güstrow are also being linked by the new regional bus line mv83, which connects the two cities. The university's involvement highlights its recognised expertise in peatland science, a field of growing importance for climate protection in northern Germany.

Police in Güstrow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, took in an unusual guest: a rabbit found on the streets spent the night at the station, receiving a carrot instead of handcuffs. The story, reported by Süddeutsche Zeitung, is charming readers with its gentle humor about how officers handled their furry overnight guest.
