George Foreman

George Foreman, the American boxing legend and heavyweight champion, is being referenced in connection with this week's afternoon movie session coverage by Jornal de Brasília. Brazilian audiences are showing renewed interest in the former champion, whose name has drawn over a thousand engagements in the country. Beyond the headline, no further details about the reason for the attention have been confirmed.

Muhammad Ali defeated world heavyweight champion George Foreman in Kinshasa, Zaire, on October 30, 1974, in the fight known as the 'Rumble in the Jungle'. Using his famous 'rope-a-dope' tactics, Ali absorbed Foreman's punches before knocking him out in the eighth round to regain the title. Anniversary retrospectives are marking the bout, widely considered one of the greatest in boxing history.
