Halland

Anders Thornberg, formerly Sweden's national police chief, is stepping down ahead of time as governor (landshövding) of Halland county. Swedish outlets including Aftonbladet, Omni and SVT Nyheter, along with the County Administrative Board itself, report his early departure. The exact reasons for him leaving the post before his term ends have not been detailed in the reports so far.

Swedish regional newspaper Hallandsposten is drawing attention amid reports that someone is breaking their silence, saying it 'means a lot'. The remarks were published via Expressen, though the exact subject of the statement is not specified in the available reports.
