Kyoto Prefecture has decided to halve its subsidy to Doshisha International High School, a school affiliated with Doshisha University, in connection with the fatal capsize accident off Henoko, Okinawa. The prefecture said it weighed the serious consequences and broad social impact of the incident, which involved students from the school, in reaching the decision.
