A 15-year-old girl died following an incident in Groningen, with reports centring on the Plutolaan area. Police initially investigated the possibility of violence, but De Telegraaf reports the girl did not die as a result of violence. She was reportedly known to the youth protection service Jeugdbescherming, which has raised questions about whether more could have been done to protect her.
