A talk by Jimmy Lefevre, titled 'How to make a text box: A crash course in Unicode and OpenType', presented at BSC 2026, is circulating among programmers and graphics enthusiasts. It walks through the surprisingly complex engineering behind rendering text, covering Unicode encoding and OpenType font shaping, and is being shared as a clear technical introduction to a topic many developers take for granted.
