John Wilson

Filmmaker John Wilson, best known for his offbeat HBO series 'How To with John Wilson', has a new documentary about concrete, framed by NPR as his 'revenge against Hollywood'. The project marks a return to his characteristic style of finding unexpected depth in mundane subjects after his Hollywood entanglements. Details of the film's premise and release are still emerging.

Filmmaker John Wilson is being profiled for leading what is described as a micro-movie revolution, making short films within a culture described as concrete-covered. The piece frames his work as a creative push back against that environment, carving out space for small-scale cinema. Details of his films and audience reaction beyond the profile are limited.
