Johor checkpoint

Malaysian and Singapore authorities report a string of smuggling interceptions. Customs seized chips worth 49.5 million ringgit at a Malaysian airport, disguised as electronic components inside 30 servers bound for transit through Malaysia, potentially usable for weapons development. Separately, a couple was stopped at the Johor checkpoint carrying 3 million ringgit in undeclared cash, with 2.92 million Singapore dollars seized. Officials say chip smuggling attempts have been detected five times this year.
