Keybytes

An MIT engineer has released Keybytes, a magnetic mechanical keyboard designed as an open-source project. The release makes the hardware design publicly available, allowing others to build, modify or improve upon it. Interest is focused on the combination of magnetic switch technology and open-source hardware principles, which could invite community contributions and alternative versions from other keyboard enthusiasts and manufacturers.
