Leviticus

A widely quoted passage from Leviticus 17:10, which warns that anyone who eats blood will be cut off from their people, is being discussed in connection with the Jehovah's Witnesses' long-standing refusal of blood transfusions. Commentators note the religious group historically used this verse to justify the prohibition, though its teaching on the matter has recently shifted.
