Mario Calzada

Mario Calzada has resigned from Mexico's Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) and joined Movimiento Ciudadano, in what local outlet La Política Online describes as another blow to party leader Alito Alejandro Moreno ahead of the electoral contest. The move strengthens the ranks of Senator Samuel García's party, led nationally by Dante Delgado, as Morena-allied allies continue to court defectors from the PRI, deepening internal tensions within the old ruling party.
