McLean County

Illinois' first community solar farm is now operating in McLean County. The project allows local residents and businesses to subscribe to solar power without installing panels on their own properties, receiving credits on their utility bills for the energy produced. The opening marks a milestone for community renewable energy in the state and is being reported by regional outlets.
