Merlin Polzin

Hamburger SV have brought in Kofi Amoako, but coach Merlin Polzin has made plain remarks about the new signing, saying he remains on the outside despite the club's shortage of personnel in his position. German football outlets are picking up the comments, and fans are debating what they mean for Amoako's chances of playing time at the Bundesliga club.

Hamburger SV faced referee Florian Exner again, and coach Merlin Polzin made clear he has not forgotten an episode from their past encounters. German media, including the Hamburger Abendblatt, picked up on the reunion, framing it as a storyline ahead of the match between HSV and the official.
