Miandoab

Milad Zand, a Kurdish citizen, has been arrested after a violent raid in the city of Miandoab in Iran's West Azerbaijan province, according to the human rights group Hengaw. The raid reportedly involved force, and Zand's current whereabouts and condition remain unknown. Rights groups say the arrest fits a broader pattern of detentions of Kurdish citizens in Iran, and calls are growing for transparency about his treatment in custody.
