Mike Nelson

Mike Nelson, the British artist known for immersive, disorienting installations, is showing new work, and a review describes it as a waking nightmare of derelict dunes and desert island despair. Critics appear struck by its desolate, dreamlike atmosphere, with the Guardian's review framing the exhibition as an unsettling, estranging experience for visitors.

Filmmaker Mike P. Nelson, director of the horror film Beware! of the Boiúna, sat down for an interview on The Weekend Warrior Show with Edward Douglas to discuss the upcoming project. Nelson, previously known for Wrong Turn and V/H/S/85, is generating attention for his take on the Brazilian folk-horror legend of the boiúna, a giant serpent of Amazonian myth.
