Misburg

Two suspected Second World War bombs may lie buried in Hannover-Misburg. To examine the suspicious sites, authorities are requiring around 17,500 residents to temporarily leave their homes today. The large-scale evacuation is being organised ahead of a survey and potential defusing of the ordnance, a routine but disruptive procedure in German cities still clearing wartime bombs.

Miamisburg Heritage Village in Ohio is holding a Revolutionary War-themed weekend event this Sunday. The living history gathering invites visitors to experience demonstrations and reenactments connected to America's founding era. The local event is drawing attention as a weekend family activity, though further details about programming and participants have not been widely reported.
