Monclova

Emergency line 911 is in the news in Mexico for several reasons. Excélsior reports that women and millennials are leading a rise in 911 calls related to mental health crises. In Ciudad Victoria, authorities note an increase in calls over domestic violence, while Tamaulipas registered three months marked by femicides and sexual violence. Other 911-related stories include an alleged assault on a 13-year-old girl in Monclova and the rescue of an injured bird in Chapulco.
