NSYNC

A report says one NSYNC member was making a shockingly small amount of money even at the height of the band's fame, renewing attention on how boy band members were paid in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The claim has prompted discussion about exploitative contracts in the pop music industry of that era.

Lance Bass says NSYNC members received only $35 a day despite years of number one albums and sold-out tours at the height of their 1990s fame. His comments renew attention on how little the boy band earned relative to the enormous revenue they generated, echoing long-running criticism of the music industry's treatment of young pop acts and their management contracts.
