NavIC

India's space agency ISRO is preparing to launch a new satellite to strengthen NavIC, the country's homegrown satellite navigation system built as an alternative to the American GPS. The system, already used for civilian and military positioning across India and nearby regions, is expected to gain improved accuracy and coverage once the new satellite is in orbit.
