Nepali Congress

Nepali Congress leader Gagan Thapa is at the center of debate over the future of Nepal's oldest political party. Commentators argue that any effort to rebuild the party's electoral appeal must begin with internal reform, challenging entrenched leadership and patronage networks. Supporters view Thapa as a generational change agent; critics question whether he can overcome the party's establishment.
